Feeling bit jittery .
Could be it's still early days and they haven't got the meds balanced right for you - low blood pressure makes you feel like poo.
Yes true..ill take things slower
Not sure.been fine in all meds. I have been acting like there s been nothing wrong a lately.my sister's think I'm doing too much .Can't seem to win...if i sit about I'm scared I'm not doing enough...baffled at moment x
I'm a little baffled as in I'm told must exercise least half a hour a day but then when I do this there telling me slow down take it easy. Confusing me all this.
Hi Avarae you don’t mention if as part of your medication regime whether you take a drug such as Lansoprazole. Or any other similar one. I only mention it as I felt terrible for months I constantly felt I had the jitters. It turned out to be a rare side effect of Lansoprazole. It caused me a lot of other problems with interactions with other drugs as well. Once I stopped it and sorted out the other meds I felt fine. However I stopped and started each drug under close supervision of my GP and pharmacist. I didn’t just do it on my own without advice. Anyway just a thought especially as you mention the term jittery which is the actual term used in the side effects literature. Probably not but always worth talking to a pharmacist. Hope it gets sorted soon. Best wishes. Zena
Thank you for that
Hi Avarae, it could be medications. Perhaps your blood pressure is low. On another note, it is important to take part in the cardiac rehab program in your area. You can do it on self referral. Regardless of how fit you are its important to take time in a good warm up, I have been told 15 minutes to prepare the heart to open up and let oxygen in so that you prepare it for a good work out which can be as long as you like. Most importantly listen to your body and slowly accelerate. You should also take time in recovery (15minutes) and then stop. No sudden stops. Remember to drink plenty.
All the best
With unexplained physical effects I’d look at the meds. Not all side effects are immediate. Oh and do treaty ourself carefully when restarting exercise. Good gentle warm up and then don’t push hard. There is no need and your body is still fragile.
Ask your doctor to check your Vitamin B12, folate and D3 levels. PPIs like lansaprazole can stop your body from ageing able to absorb b12 from your food (there is a lot of good information about.this on the Pernicious Anaemia Society forum here on healthunlocked). The symptoms of b22 deficiency are wide ranging but feeling jittery is among them as is tiredness, as b12 is vital to just about everything our bodies need to function.
My husband was diagnosed as having a b12 deficiency last October following heart surgery and a stroke when he still didn’t feel right and was really tired. He had taken omeprazole and metformin for years and we have since discovered that both drugs can prevent the absorption of b12 by the body. B12 injections and folic acid and D3 tablets are starting to turn things round. Ask for a copy of your results as doctors are really good at classing something that is getting low but in the ‘normal’ range as fine!
Good luck, Jane
That should say ‘being able to absorb ‘
Hi, just a thought , have you had your thyroid checked as overactive can cause jittery feeling.
Hi Alvarae. I am also 3 months post stent and am still getting the same kind of feelings you describe. Recovery from a heart attack and stent has taken much longer than I imagined and I feel anxiety has been holding me back. I exercise every day by walking for half an hour and am starting cardio rehab classes next week. I sometimes feel dizzy and then anxious if I have "overdone" it, although that would not be much by my previous standards. Sometimes we expect too much of ourselves and underestimate the emotional effect it can have on us which is sometimes delayed. I hope that you feel better soon and that your results are reassuring for you.
Hi. My cardiac nurse told me my bp was too low after my exercises last week. She said it was a sign I wasn’t drinking enough water whilst exercising. I took a bigger bottle to the next class and my bp was fine 😂
I had HA and stent inserted end of January. I'm now looking forward to my 4th week of cardio fitness and am already feeling the benefits. Good luck!
Have you got atrial fibrillation.
