At long last I get to write a positive post 🥹 it won't seem like much but this morning I managed to walk around town to my dr appointment then walk home afterwards, not an overly long distance but lots of steep hills . This is the first time I've walked anywhere on my own since my first brush with myocarditis in 2018 , I was a bit scared because if dizziness, my heart protested slightly & the blood started to pour out of my arm after a blood test ruining my good jumper lol but I wouldn't be me without some sort of minor disaster 🤣🤣🤣

It's all looking so much better for you now Helly, thank goodness.

Didn't the nurse who took your blood test put a padded dressing over the injection site? Mine always do that. Try soaking your cardigan in cold salted water and the blood just may come out.

I live in a hilly town too and I know just how elated you must feel being able to walk home. Long may that continue.

I really hope it does continue Jean but my situation is so unpredictable, very frustrating 😕 I fell asleep as soon as I sat down too lol but managed to soak my top first ,fingers crossed the blood comes out xx

Hello :-)

Brilliant and your first positive post still waiting for mine well done you :-)

We will skip the minor disaster bit and pretend that did not happen :-) x

Knowing me something else will go wrong of that I have no doubt but I'm happy with the very small victory ,I fell asleep soon as I sat down lol there's always a payback 😅 xx

Hello :-)

I think me and you have the same kind of luck which equals none :-)

But you did well today and even if you did fall asleep I would still claim this as a Victory ! :-) x

I think that is a huge achievement so well done you!

I struggle to give blood even though I am on thinners so it sounds like the opposite of me, I hope you manage to soak the blood out of your clothing, maybe some Vanish or I've heard milk.

Now put your feet up and enjoy the win!!

Thanks Heather ,have to admit I was scared because I feel like I'm going to pass out a lot so don't know if it was a wise decision but I'm taking the small victory, had a snooze & think I've saved my top too 😀 xx

Sounds like a win win. 👍

These victories may seem small (to others) but most of us here know how much they mean!

Well done. I identify with the struggling on the hills.

I see the practical advice coming from the ladies on here.

Well done, that’s fab!

As for the jumper, soak in cold water with either salt or bicarbonate soda (whichever you have available) on the stain with a bit of washing liquid and scrub; then launder as normal. This works for me with blood and chocolate - not that I regularly need to wash blood out of clothes 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Best wishes

You did very well. But don't push it too quickly. The hills would have beaten me with my severe copd. Hope your day goes well. Brian

Hi, Helly75,

Your walk sounds like a big deal to me! You should be proud of that accomplishment. I seem to struggle walking just a quarter mile—yesterday, I managed 3/4 of a mile

Take your victory and feel good about it! Keep going and best wishes to you.

By the way, you might try soaking the blood area on your jumper in hydrogen peroxide. It breaks down proteins like blood, and then wash as usual.

Not what you're looking for?
