Hello I'm slightly worried I'm taking Ticagrelor 90mg twice daily according to my alert card this medication should drop to 60mg after a year which I've just passed.
I've just put my next repeat prescription in and it hasn't been changed to the lower dose I thought the doctor was supposed to change it or is it up to the patient to chase it up I will keep taking the higher dose until I hear back from them as have just been to the surgery hope it doesn't do more harm than good I'm on asprin as well.

I suggest you talk to your GP surgery. Whilst it is important that you monitor the situation regarding your own medication as you have done, it is their responsibility to get it right.
hello could you call them and point out what’s in your card? Unfortunately we have to often give them a hint on what they are supposed to do / consider OR a they have made a conscious decision to carry on with same dose. Definitely worth calling and asking them the question specifically. And your doing the right thing to continue med in meantime (could just run it all past a pharmacist while wait for contact with doctor).
I don’t know about these meds you are taking so I’m only offering advice in a general way.
I’m on 90 mg twice daily and have been since October 2018. No side effects apart from the usual bruising. Questioned the length of time I’ve been on Ticagrelor and met with you need to stay on them life long.
