Hi I'm newly diagnosed fast AF, I just went to GP for routine asthma check, suddenly sent to hospital, now waiting for echo and cardioversion, I'm feeling very anxious and not sure what to expect in the future 😬

Hi I have permanent Atrial Fibrillation due to dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure. Many people have AF so the doctors have a good understanding about it, and once you’ve had your echo that will tell them what’s going on. I’ve never had cardioversion but I’m sure others who come across this post will be able to tell you more about it. My one is continuous because of my other heart defects but I’m still able to carry on my life as best as I can. Finding these things out can make you anxious. The majority of us here deal with anxiety that’s why we’re in this and other support groups. There is a AF support group also.
