I did it, I just swam

I finally put my big boy pants on yesterday and booked a swim for this morning. Woke up with a few butterflies but they went after the first push off and glide. On strict instructions to take it easy to begin with so a nice, gentle 500m to begin with. Feels a bit emotional to be back in the water, soppy sod that I am.

Thanks, feels like a big step forward.

Dear You,

So very pleased for you as this last bit of your recovery puzzle clicks firmly into place.

And what a piece it is, as we all know how important swimming is to you.

I love inspirational and encouraging posts especially after all the poster has been through.

Take care and take it easy / slowly

Thank you, was a big part of my life pre HA. Good for the mind as well. Just have to remember to ease my way back in.

we’ll done it’s a great sensation isn’t it? I got back last year but have chickened out during the winter! Our pool is ancient and has very few facilities (the water is fine though)! Keep it up! You’re inspiring me to get going again!

Thanks, it was great to get back. Our pool could do with a bit of a facelift too. Enjoy your swimming when you do get back into the wet stuff
