Sickness

Hey Everyone

I'm asking you lot as I don't want to Google it or ask Mum for advice (she'll worry)

Most of the day I've been feeling nauseous, and I'm been sick a few times which leaves me breathless I'm pretty much over my cold so I'm ruling that out.

I know my meds can cause nausea and sickness but I've been on them a while and any new meds or dosage I've been on a week now.

Am I overthinking this or should I call 111

Sorry to hear you are anxious. You could have a bug but if you are worried, and you obviously are, ring 111. Only you know how you feel, so to put your mind at rest and stop feeling anxious, ask them what they think it is. They are medically trained and are very helpful. Hope it goes ok for you.

May well be the meds but due to the stent being recent, it’s safer to call 111 and rule out anything cardiac related. I’m sure it’s not, but it will put your mind at ease and if you do have to go to the hospital, at least they will prioritise you due to your recent surgery x

call 111 in light of your recent “episode”. This is not saying serious it’s just in your case best to consult medical advice. Could be as result of your exertions earlier today? I’m just guessing though. Good luck

I agree with the others. Hopefully nothing to worry about but in light of you recent kerfuffle worth getting checked. Don't wish to worry you but nausea was very much one of my mine symptoms. Take care

please call 111… i’m probably the last person who should be giving you this advice as i usually have to be advised by others on the forum to do the same😂.. but yes.. please call them👍

I've called them and they weren't very helpful, saying it's just a bug, I had to almost scream at them I'VE JUST HAD A STENT"

They finally listened and I'm waiting for a call back

I've also told Mum and she's trying (but failing) to remain calm

In our area there’s a sickness bug that’s going around. The local nursing home is closed due to this . If it is a “ bud” you should start to improve over 24/48 hrs.

Hopefully you will improve soon as it’s always a worry it could be something else.

i know lol.. but after being told in CAU that the ecg looked ok and they weren’t too concerned about the big spike in my BP i felt a bit stupid.. but the male staff nurse who was looking after me told me if it happened again to call 111.. then you think to yourself… the ecg will probably be ok and i’ll start to get a reputation of being a timewaster

No ring for advice, I have a specialist nurse at my local hospital, who advises

i know there is a sickness bug about. It is horrible but does not last for long. It might be that. Nevertheless a call to 111 might be a good idea

I'm glad that you called 111, and your mum will be pleased as well. Let us know how you get on please. Remember, we are all "it will be alright" when it comes to ourselves and some times we need a kick up the bum :)

I had a similar issue in the early days after my stent last December (Christmas day as it happens)😇

I spoke to my pharmacist and he advised taking the meds at different intervals during the day and I've been fine ever since.

I was sick yesterday, too. Perhaps there is something going around. I'm still not feeling all that great today. Used up more spoons than I had (spoon theory). I wouldn't worry. it will pass. If not in a few days, ring 111.

Like you needed anything else!

How are you now? Hope it was just indeed a short lived bug and you are on the mend but you can’t leave these things to chance just now. Xx
