Artovastatin side effects

Had my Artovastatin increased last March from 40mg to 80mg after suffering a second heart attack ( they called it mild) no stents required, since the increase in the statins Ive experienced a lot of congestion in chest and nose and increased breathlessness has anyone else had symptoms like this, I had a chest xray all clear

You asked an almost identical question two weeks ago (as below) and got 13 comments including one from me which was to talk to your GP who may be able to offer an alternative statin to try. Others also suggested talking to your GP. And subsequent to that you then reported that you had seen your GP who had halved the statin dose. I suggest you go back to your GP who is best place to advise on your condition, including perhaps organising a visit to the asthma clinic to rule out any underlying respiratory conditions including COPD. I stopped smoking over 45 years ago and yet I have, apparently, a 'touch of COPD' according to my asthma nurse, so even though you tell us you stopped smoking 32 years ago doesn't necessarily mean you can't have the onset of COPD.
