I’m on entresto bisoprasol

Eplerenone diaglofloxin and Atorvastatin

I’m having my first chest infection in a year which is amazing for me

Rescue antibiotic clarithromycin 500 twice a day

Day 3 and something is clearly not right

Stopped Atorvastatin as advised but I feel drugged light headed wobbly legs

And feeling sick

Does this not agree with. Me now because of heart meds

any advise

It is so hard sometimes not to feel scared and well done this been the first chest infection this year and I hope it is the last

It is so hard to answer your question as to be honest I feel this is one of those we cannot really give advice but phone your pharmacist or better still try and get hold of your Doctor but either will do and see what they say

Pick up the phone now and ask and let us know how you get on x

I have rang my doctor and he is phoning me back.

I have just slept for 3 hours so have decided I’m not taking anymore

You may have needed that sleep and maybe before you decide if to take anymore see what your Doctor says

Would be lovely if you have time to let us know when they have phoned you if you have questions maybe write them down before you get the call so you do not forget to ask everything you need to know x

doc phoned and it’s agreed he will change the antibiotic

He thinks there is maybe a side effect caused with my other heart meds even though they say all is ok everyone reacts different I suppose

Fingers crossed other antibiotics work for me as previous they have not but a lot has changed with me in a year

That antibiotic has an interaction with eplerenone which may be causing the problem.

I’ve had my pharmacy say the other meds should not pose a risk

And even my gp says the same

Was just advised to stop Atorvastatin

But like I’ve told them summit isn’t right

felt like I was on another planet very scary
