Hi all, would love your thoughts on the following. 3 nights last week my fitbit registered a peak in my heart rate whilst I was sleeping. This has never happened before at night but does happen occasionally during the day due to damage to my heart from myopericarditis. I've attached a pic to show my the reading from Mon night. I've felt no pain, discomfort, disturbance 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was 😴 Does anyone else get this? Thanks in advance for thoughts/advice.

Hi HHH2017 maybe contact your gp or cardiologist and ask for holter monitor. I had so many before it actually picked up something it wasn't easy to pick up on the monitor though but it showed ventricular Tachycardia heart rate was going up to 159 I'm not sure if it was at night or when it was but having a holter monitor would definitely show if there's anything to be concerned about.

I occasionally got spikes like this, I caught one during the day at about 140bpm... thought it was odd as I felt fine and did a "manual check"... I counted 68bpm, not 140.

My fitbit has also recorded a heart rate when not being worn. I've had gaps where there shouldn't be.

These things aren't always accurate.

To be honest, I stopped wearing mine a couple of weeks ago, as it was causing me more worry!!

thank you, I heard people say this too but to be honest my fitbit behaves well & is quite accurate. Usually HR matches my BP machine & day time peaks match my condition and what cardiologist saw on various tests.

So I think its now picking up some night time activity but I will tread cautiously and bear your warning in mind, thank you 👍🏽

I agree I can't rely on it but tbh it is usually quite accurate. And the new night time peaks are so likemy day time ones 🤷🏽‍♀️ I've not heard of the HeartBug but will enquire about one and/or a Holter. Sincere thanks for your reply.
