Hello, I've had a mild heart attack and have angina, I was admitted to hospital one week ago and have had a stent fitted. It all happened very quick, I'm reading on here a lot about a rehab nurse! Is this someone who will be in touch over time? I'd really like some advise on starting my recovery and at the moment, I'm gradually building up my daily step count.

Angina and heart attack
Thank you for your response and advise, I feel, although my treatment was second to none and all of the NHS were brilliant, that I've been discharged with a bag of meds for life! I will take your advise and contact them in a few days time🙂
Chatting with others on here rehab seems to vary from area to area. When I was discharged, like you with my bag 4 life of meds, I was told rehab would be in contact. I had an initial phone call pretty quickly and then a follow on telephone call about a week later when I was booked in to start rehab sessions the week after that. It's been really good and has helped me immensly, especially with the mental side which has often been the hardest bit to deal with. I was even given one of the nurses mobile numbers should I need to contact them.Good luck for your ongoing recovery.
Just from my experience the nurse phoned me on the 2 occasions I had a procedure , so this may be the case with you (I am in South Wales).
