I was feeling fine three years until gp said got hf then started taking Ramipril also said got low iron anyway I suffer from anxiety I have noticed th week fluttering in chest I don’t know from low iron or heart or anxiety and can’t get apt with gp til next week I got apt have iron iv next week and just had mri I just wondering I never had anything before taking ramipril

You have said previously that you have HF (heart failure) with an EF of 35%. As such you should have been referred to a HF nurse. Your GP can instigate this.

Have your iron levels been confirmed by a recent blood test? If they are low your body absorbs iron better from food than tablets. The tablets can also cause constipation! Goods sources are liver and green veg, e.g. spinach.

I haven’t got apt w hf nurse til end mth and got to have iron so I’ll have wait and see thanks for ur reply

Hi yes I had HF for about 8 years filling fine until go told me had Hf also had low iron see if you surgery has o li e booking wear you can book same day appointment

If not ask your PPG good luck

I had anaphylactic shock with an iron infusion . Apparently it’s not an unknown response

Was it straight after the iron iv that’s why I heard do those in hosp for safety

Th drip had just started when the reaction started , the crash team were called , I don’t know what they did but I’m still here

But have u ever had iron iv before because I heard they usually try small dose and very slow at first

No never , it was just started straight away
