I have just had my 10th stent fitted but still feel absolutely fine except for my mental state which keeps troubling me on a day to day basis .
Any useful tips would be appreciated

wow 10 stents!
I think mentally you have to live in the now and not the past or future. I find this helps with myself.
Meditation I find really helps aswell morning and night. If I have a bad time in the day I use a technique where you..
3 things you can see
3 things you can hear
3 things you can touch.
It’s a bit like a grounding technique. I do find the mental side of things is a constant battle but we can get through it. Keep smiling and keep going 😁
thanks for your reply , I must admit I’ve never tried meditation, perhaps I should give it a go
Certainly many people with heart conditions are also understandably also anxious which makes things worse. Whatever calms you is worth trying which may be meditation, yoga or going out for a walk without earphones and enjoying the sun, birds and observing. Have the stents been mostly replacing one another or in different positions all over the place?
Have the medics suggested a more permanent solution?
Hello, it does seem a lot to cope with, have you been given any advice about how to halt or slow the progress of the disease?
Hi Tango3, I too have 10 stents, 3 after heart attack in 2003 1 after chest pains in 2013 and another 6 after 2nd heart attack in 2019, I was wondering how many stents the heart can take, when I asked consultant at Royal Berks he assured me that many more can be tolerated. Also had Quadruple bypass in 2004. Still going strong, although some days I am better than others. Stay strong mentally, you have many more years in you. Take care.
