I recently had a MPS; however, the consultant said he could not intepret the results as my heart and intestines are too close togeather, thus there is an overlap in the images. Has anyone experience of this?

hi. I had one of these a couple of weeks ago. They did the first scan and the radiologist said that she could not get a clear picture as all of my organs were crammed in too tightly to see my heart. She sat me down with a cup of coffee and a packet of crisps (??) and did the scan again 1/2 an hour later. The second scan produced better pictures for some reason. The radiologist told me that it’s very difficult to get accurate pictures of the heart as there are a lot of organs in such a small space. I don’t know why the second scan produced better pictures but she said that it happens often.

The person who had their scan prior to me had to have a second scan due to an obstruction. Hence I checked mine were okay with the staff and was told they were. Seems there was an issue !
