I was diagnosed with myocarditis in 2017 and after experiencing similar symptoms I was diagnosed again 2023 with the same thing my troponin were at 200 It's know been 3weeks since I was discharged from hospital but I am always feeling fatigued and short of breath. Any one else know hoe long this takes to subside I don't remember feeling like this in 2017.
Many thanks In advance.

I felt like this for 6 months... I was diagnosed in July 2022 and only really just starting to feel more like myself.
But it's different for everyone... some recover after a few weeks, some take longer. Only consistent advice is to get plenty of rest, keep heart rate under 100bpm.
Hiya. I was diagnosed in May last year and I’m still getting symptoms now. It’s early days for you so just take it easy. I’ve had good periods where I think it’s getting better then I have a relapse as I try and do too much.
Hi, so sorry to hear you are suffering again. Recovery time will depend on how severely you have it this time. Were you in hospital longer this time? Hour heart has had a terrible shock & needs time & rest to recover just like any muscle injury. Rest lots and really try not to over do it when you start to feel better or it could be 1 step forward & 3 back!
I wish you lots of luck and a good restful recovery.
recovery after myocarditis can be very slow, it is one of the few conditions where rest and avoiding exercise are part of the treatment!
inflammation of the heart muscle is now known to interfere with the way the muscle cells use energy, so the heart physically does not function effectively - you cannot hurry the way this returns to normal so you just have wait it out
Concern about returning to activity after the C-word due to the possibility of cardiac and other consequences led to some interesting research on recovery and return to exercise -this paper includes a very helpful framework for returning to activity and exercise: bmj.com/content/372/bmj.m4721
I'm about 4 months post my myocarditis diagnosis I still get the shortness of breath. I get fatigued but for a while been feeling tired so I'm not sure if it's me or the myocarditis.
