I had major surgery to replace my Aortic valve in 2016 and due to a hiccup and ended up having a pacemaker fitted as well. Been on Warfarin and Candesartan for most of the time and no issues, still running etc.
End of last year had my routine pacemaker check which flagged up an issue for the first time that my heart had a few spasms of 300bpm!!! This prompted them to prescribe me Bisoprolol which after awhile didn't agree with my motions! I flagged this with my GP and now trying Atenelolol which again seems to irritate things! These are side effects of both and I'm considering aborting use of this and seeing where it takes me before revisiting the GP. Anybody else had these symptoms and did they get a solution?

Hi, I used to take Bisoprolol, but had tiredness as a side effect. After another heart problem, I was swapped to Sotalol, which my body tolerates well and the tiredness has gone. Good luck!
Good morning, definitely don’t stop taking the beta blocker without medical input! I started off on 5mg of Bisoprolol and have had to work my way to 10mg. My stomach initially had symptoms of irritation on the journey and it took around two to three months before it settled down - you don’t say how long you tried these pills. The tiredness is also a thing for me but you do have to get plenty of sleep along with drinking lots of fluids and eating properly. Hope you get some answers soon.
