So i have been taking entresto for 2 years now and on the middle dose. I was taken to hospital with heart failure and suspected heart attack with trophin levels being extremely high. After a rough 10 days in ICU i had eventually picked up enough to get a MRI scan. My ejection fraction rate was 12%. I was in AFib.
After couple rough months of being on meds with nothing working (betas, apixiban, clopidogrel, eperlenone) i had switched over to entresto. Hailed a miracle drug. Within days i had seen my hands finally warm up as they were constantly freezing cold. I noticed ever slight improvements.
After the cardioversion i was back to normal rythum. And more improvements seen over the months. I got a scan and my ejection fraction is now around 45%.
I do notice sides after taking the entresto tablet pretty much within half hour... Fatigue, drowsiness/brain fog, sometimes chest discomfort, sometimes aniexity.
I am on the middle dose and i have just told my cardiologist that i split the morning dose in half due to the bad sides and it prettt much works out alright.
Whats your experiences on Entresto, good or bad? Any sides? Has anyone recovered to a point where they could drop taking this med and others?
