I've caught this Cold/Flu thing that is going around, my BP was slightly raised at cardiac rehab the other day and I've been getting breathless, Yesterday afternoon I started feeling rough and last night I full blown cold, Sore throat, cough you named it.
I've tested my BP this morning and it's slightly raised, I've got a slight temperature and when I cough I can't catch my breath.
I'm not a good patient when I'm ill, a friend of mine says I'm like a man and get Man Flu (apologies to all men I've just insulted)
With my heart issues, when should I start to worry.

Hello
I am not a good patient either !
I have a sinus infection and goodness I am struggling
But back to you when you are ill it is expected your BP will be a little higher so don't worry about that unless it goes through the roof which is doubtful
Keep an eye on your chest though and if you think it is going from the common cough and cold to a chest infection then get onto the Doctors so you can make sure you do not need any antibiotics
Plenty of fluids and rest and maybe get your Mum round
I've got asthma as well as everything else so I'm always careful of it going to my chest. At the moment it's an annoying dry cough.
I haven't told Mum yet! I've got some fresh orange that I'm drinking for fluids and Vitamin C, but I'm drinking plenty of water as well. For the first time ever I've kinda lost my appetite, so I'm picking at food, well little and often. If I'm still bad in the morning I'll think about calling Mum.
We've had so many kids off sick and coughing and sneezing this last few weeks so I was bound to catch something. Just typical I get it so close to the end of term.
Thank you and I hope you too have a lovely Christmas x
So sorry to hear you come down with flu have you had your flu shot?. I would. Definitely take it seriously now I left it too long few years back and I got sooo ill I was in hospital for 2 weeks with pnemonia and suspected virus in the lining of my heart really bad. 💔. Definitely wouldn't leave it. I would suggest calling 111 or doing it online better to be safe then sorry 😔.
Hello. I cant believe there is so many young people having heart attacks recently. Was this really a common thing for young people. Maybe it just seems like it due to internet and people reporting it easier. Who knows. Sorry to hear this. I was 35 when had mine. I was one of the fittest guys around. Working 90 hours a week for fun. Working the doors. Gym and running everyday. Crazy times. World turns upside down in a heart beat.
With covid and flu going around and having heart failure its pretty dodgy to say the least to try avoiding these nasty bugs. But i do say is that i found black seed oil to be one of the best treatments and preventive measures to take against covid and colds and flus. I have severe hwart failure and couldnt believe i beat covid in 3-5 days, half the time most of my family had it. (maybe this was due to the fact my heart attack in the first place may have been due to covid, who knows).
Anyways wish you all the best. Stay fit andactive as you can
Hi. I feel your pain. I ended up in bed for nearly two weeks there with the flu. Totally wiped me out. Plenty of fluids and rest is all you can do. Fiven that we cant take decongestants, i used a face steamer with drop of olbas oil which is fab for clearing the nose for a while at least.Hope you feel better soon. Jules x
School is pretty much like the vet’s- people take their animals into a small room cough and wheeze openly then my daughter ends up with tonsillitis or a chest infection! She still wears a mask every day at work.
hi Valentina. I’m five days into it and it’s not nice. My covid infections weren’t as bad as this.!!!!
I had moutain goats on my bed the other morning and my bedroom curtains were changing colours on their own.!!! For 48 hours I could not leave the bed. And I had to use hands and feet to get to the bathroom. No energy at all etc!! I am a man and get man flu but this is something else.!!!😳
