Waiting for test results.

Morning all, at -10 this morning its a bit cold outside so make sure you wrap up well if you venture out today. I have a telephone appointment with my cardiologist this afternoon for an update and they also want to perform a 3 month download of my loop recorder data so my question is has anyone got a loop recorder? and how long after the download did they wait for the results to come back.

Cheers

Taz.

Hello :-)

I have no experience on this but I wondered how your appointment has gone today

I hope it went well :-) x

Hi, Unfortunately I didn't receive the call from my cardiologist so I'm not sure if the remote download even went ahead I have no way of telling. I was under the impression I had to download the data remotely myself with the base unit so i was waiting for some instructions but no one called. I did call the hospital but they too wasn't sure on the procedure and what to do plus I had no luck speaking with anyone in the pacing clinic they didn't answer the phone maybe they are on strike. I will try and speak to someone tomorrow about it and hopefully get some results soon.🤞

Hello :-)

O dear that is not good and you could be right maybe they are on strike or have less staff on because of the strikes

I would keep trying and when you do find out it will be still nice if you have time if you will let us know how you got on :-) x

-10? Good grief. We had two nights of -9 and last night was -7 and no water from 11am yesterday until 9am today. Pity the poor men trying to fix the water overnight. They had to first get council permission for traffic lights and to move a telegraph pole then release the frozen manhole cover before digging the frozen ground. We're just very grateful to be able to flush the loos at last. I wonder if many people even think of the workmen doing repairs. Thank goodness it's to warm up at weekend. Sorry i can't help with the results. I only know that a friend got his pacemaker report within 48 ho urs.

I've been thinking the same thing too about the people and workmen on the shetlands this week trying to get everyone's power connected again due to the bad weather recently at -19 🥶.

I had an appointment at 11.15 am this morning for my Christmas nail appointment. It showed -3 on my car thermostat. I parked about a mile from town and walked to the appointment and went into the local market, a few of the stall holders told me it was -8 when they went to work. Luckily it has started to warm up a little and reached 0 degrees when I got back home.

Apparently (so I was told several times) this is the coldest it has been for 10 years. whether the fault of global warming or not we have become accustomed to milder weather so this kind of cold is a shock!

Stay safe and well everyone, wrap up warm and for those with heart problems wear a mask or cover your mouth with a scarf so you are breathing in warmer air!
