Lqts and the promise of an icd,not materialising

73 years old,driving licence revoked 3 years ago ,told I would lose licence for 6 months been professional driver for 55 years no attacks since,told I would need icd to get licence back,waiting 15 months now,can't get any info from anyone as to what progress is being made,am housebound due to side effects of medication, extreme breathlessness, also have copd ,living alone,am thinking of getting 2nd opinion, don't feel I have choice

DVLA are hopeless, after a year they were still telling me as long as I satisfied a certain road traffic act I could drive.Had eye tests by NHS and privately confirming ok but it was DVLA I needed to confirm me all clear for insurance purposes.

So frustrating and a waste of valuable time.

I feel for you.

Sounds like your hold up is with NHS though but it is frustrating.
