New to all this as only just been diagnosed with severe heart failure in Aug so still coming to terms with things. Please could anyone advise as to who to use for cruise travel insurance. Don't go until Nov 2023 but would like to be prepared!! Thanks for your help 😃

You have time to investigate so that's good. There are several companies that do this specialised insurance. We use staysure but there may be better insurers for cruises. However cruise insurance is more expensive because taking you off a cruise ship in a medical emergency is very difficult. The other things are to a) be completely honest about your condition and have your medical notes / prescription list ready for the medical questionnaire, b) try after August, Often insurance gets cheaper a year after an event and c) remember most companies will not insure you at any price while you are waiting for a test result or an intervention (for example a stent or bypass).
Thank you everyone, think I will wait until next September and get some estimates from the ones you guys have recommended. Hope you all have a good day and stay heart strong! Thanks again guys, you have really helped me 😊
If you've booked already, there might be a disadvantage to delaying taking out insurance. If your condition (or any number of other possible events) was to worsen, you might lose your holiday and your deposit. Just a thought!
I'd recommend looking at a comparison site such as medicaltravelcompared.co.uk - but make sure the policy you choose is suitable for your needs (of course).
