I'm 34 and was diagnosed with Artial Fibrillation in 2020. I have had 3 big episodes so far, two 18 hours long and the last 36 hours long. During my last episode I was 5 weeks pregnant and sadly had a miscarriage a few days later. Upon until this point I had only used beta blockers as a pill in the pocket but was advised after my last episode to start taking them daily. I would like to know if anyone has successfully conceived and carried a baby to full term whilst on beta blockers because I'm getting conflicting answers from my doctors and the Arrhythmia nurses. Thanks in advance

I started taking beta blockers (bisoprolol) at 37 weeks pregnant. The cardic team felt it was fine for me to take them then because I was near full term and my baby was big. I was told though that can affect growth in the womb and i was advised to not become pregnant again whilst taking them and to possibly move to a different beta blocker first. Im so sorry you had a miscarriage. I hope your well x
I was taking Labetalol and Nifedipine the last couple months of my first pregnancy and the whole of my second pregnancy. The cardiac team told me they're only two safe blood pressure meds you can take. Labetalol is a beta blocker and Nifedipine a calcium channel blocker. All the best with your journey, not a easy one with heart issues! (I have type 1 diabetes as well) Toward the end I was going in for checks and scans 2x a week!
