So sad, just got home from a walk and popped the news on. Huw Edwards is presenting, he and the signer are both wearing black ties...
Wishing Her Majesty all strength, and the best to all who love her.

Hello
Someone did a post earlier with the news I think a lot of us are feeling emotional at the thoughts of losing our Queen
Lovely picture of her that you have posted she has such a lovely smile
Hope you are keeping well x
Our Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon 🌹.
I posted earlier when concern about her health was raised and the family started travelling to Balmoral.

She never really seemed to recover from Prince Philip's death - a fellow Heartie...
I never was a royalist until I watched the Crown if you haven’t seen it you must watch it. You will see the royal family in a completely different light, such a hard life, such a great woman. Sadly missed. We all have our health problems on here how England has a problem as long as Charles is half the man the Queen was we stand a chance xx
Lovely words..
Yes, I felt a sense of peace. Like she might have said to herself after telling Boris to get on his bike and appointing Liz Trust as the new Prime Minister "that's it, job done, I'm out of here!" I will be accompanying a singer in church this Sunday. I kind of feel privileged to do so. I feel a big thanks for the Queens service and long life.
I served in Her Royal Navy and I was proud to serve. Non of us served a Prime Minister only the Queen as a Nation it makes us different. Long Live the KIng
I'm no royalist, but the queen has been a constant through my life, and such an admirable figurehead for the nation. I am surprised at how sad I feel.
I noticed that presenters on the BBC were wearing black ties much earlier in the day. I wondered why then put it down to being prepared. It feels a bit odd since I have never known another monarch.
I was just 5 years old when I watched her become Queen. The whole street crammed into one house to seethe only TV in the area . That picture has stayed firmly in my mind my entire life; her promise to serve her country. No one could have done it better. We can only be thankful that the end was mercifully quick and apparently painless with her son and daughter at her side. May she have found her s oulmate now for the rest of eternity.
I'm 70 years old and Ive never cried before on hearing about the death of a public figure.
I've just come in from gardening and popped the TV on, tears are rolling down my cheeks again.
I have been a softy since my heart attack.
Same here. I was in tears. She's just been such a permanent fixture and a wonderful person. We met her once in Windsor by the river and she was just like your nicest next door neighbour. We'd been at a dog show and were walking by the river when this little woman appeared under a bridge and started asking about the show, whether we'd won and such. We just didn't realise who it was until several corgis ran up to her barking. Just a lovely dog walker in mac and headscarf who was genuinely interested in our dogs.
What an amazing memory
It was a total surprise; we genuinely didn't realise who she was until the dogs appeared. Just another perfectly normal dog walker interested in dogs. The only strange thing was that here was what we thought was a cattle gate under the bridge to stop as we thought, livestock from walking under. It was obviously to stop people.
