after an operation in january to remove a large cancer on my leg ( it went well ) I went for my annual asthma copd review in April this year ( after a 2year on line consultation due to the covid) . The nurse was lovely and made me feel at ease , we did the usual breathing tests and examinations ,,, followed by i’ll do your height and weight now ,,, “ i said ,,, i hope i’ll get my shoes back on as my feet keep swelling “ ,,,to which she said is this something new or have you had it before ,,,,,i ask as i also noticed your wrists are quite swollen ,,, oh this is totally a new thing only the last few months ,,,, off she went to see the Dr,,,, who requested she did a full blood test ,,,and send me for a chest x-ray ,,, 10 days later i had a letter to go for a chest scan ,,,, i did that ,,, the. i had a letter to say go for an echocardiogram,,,, and my Dr told me last week i have got aortic stenosis,,,, which has now led me to waiting for an appointment to see a consultant…. and i have to say ,,, IM CONCERNED. , ,, i wasn’t aware of any problems with my heart ,,, i have quite a bad lung condition,,ie : asthma bronchiectasis copd , so i’m aware of breathing problems and so put my breathlessness down to my lungs ,,, as i always do ,,, So if anyone can tell me about Aortic Stenosis and treatment i’d really appreciate it .
