I posted as a new member a couple of months ago about my diagnosis of Left Bundle Branch Block. My Cardiologist insists there is an underlying problem to cause this so to date I’ve had an EKG which shows no real problems, just a small leak and slight enlargement of ventricle, nothing to be concerned about, and now waiting for a CT scan. Last week I had a 48hr Heart Monitor check, and just had a call to say results show a slow heart beat and to stop Prosopol straightaway. I have an appointment on Tuesday to see what happens next.
I like to be halfway prepared for what comes next and would be happy to hear of any experiences for treatment for slow heart beats. Di

Hi Andian, I have LBBB. Mine showed up when I had a ECG in A&E after a spasm of chest pain and coughing which came on suddenly. A&E coudn't find a problem but referred me to the cardo. I was told that LBBB could have been caused by a number of conditions, so I had a cardiac echo and after that showed valve problems, i had an angiogramme. I am not medical and from what I learnt, LBBB can be caused by so many things, and I am sure you will be given tests to diagnose any problems. The cause of mine was never fully discovered but could have been a virus I'd had in the past and the other cardiac problems just a sort of coincidence. I have been on medication for blood pressure and will stay on that. this was 7 years ago. Talk to your GP too about the results if you are worried, mine helped me a lot. Sorry this is a long and rambling reply. Best wishes. sueb
Hi, I have just been looking up posts about LBBB and came across yours. As it was a year ago you may have found out more by now but just contacting you to say I’ve had LBBB for over ten years and am not on any treatment for it and it has never affected me. I was told mine was probably caused by rheumatic fever which I had in infancy.
