Wow that’s a lotta weight loss in 6 weeks , are you eating anything at all ? You e lost over two stone in 6 weeks congratulations but and it’s just a wee but , be careful that’s a huge amount to lose in a short time . Nevertheless congratulations
That’s great news! Many congratulations,!long may it continue! Take care, Judi
Congratulations, that's a really impressive result!
My GP said there's no pill that will deliver the same health benefits as just losing two stones.
So, pat yourself on the back for taking responsibility for your own health and making such incredible progress towards a long and healthy life.
Good luck!
Wow well done x
Hello

What a star. I am thrilled to read of your success towards helping yourself
Your doing Amazing. Can you tell me please how you have managed to do so well. Have you joined a slimming group or a gym or something. Brian
I've just quit all the unnecessary rubbish foods sweets biscuits etc takeaways I don't drink or smoke I'm completely using willpower and determination
Like Cheltenhamguy49 I have lost quite a lot of weight recently. From 83 kg, my heaviest ever and a BMI of about 29, I lost 12 kg in about three months, and over the last month or so my weight has now stabilised. So in answer to your question, my method has been to cut out all cakes and biscuits, puddings etc, not that I had them much anyway,, crisps, cheese which used to be my treat, and reduce alcohol especially beer. I reduced portion size a little. Other than that diet pretty much as before, including bread, potatoes rice and pasta. l also upped my exercise levels considerably, but nothing serious like rejoining a gym. I set myself a target which I achieved and then went a little further. Along the way I set myself 3kg targets, and weighed myself every day, but I agree with others weight loss rate should be not excessive. I am now at a weight I feel comfortable with, and don't believe I will have difficulty staying there which is important
Thanks for the information. You have done so well and sound confident of staying at your present weight which is always difficult. You get told by different groups to cut different things out you end up getting confused as to what is best. Well done. Brian
My belief, as you will see from what I did, as a big first step in weight loss, is to cut out all unnecessary sugary stuff, that's both food and drink plus savoury snacks. When you see shopping trolleys laden with cola, biscuits, crisps, cakes, sweets, chocolate etc being pushed by obese people with obese kids in tow you can easily understand why. And if you have two teaspoons of sugar in your coffee and tea try one spoon, or better none at all, you will over time get used to it. But don't stop eating fruit because it is sweet, since the benefits of eating fruit outweigh the disbenefits, but do take natural yoghurt on your breakfast fruit rather than the oversweetened fruit yoghurt.
Thanks so much. My only vice out of the items mentioned really is crisps. I do very occasionally have a can of coke if I am very thirsty but mainly water all day at home. And no sugar only sweetners
Well done that’s a great achievement. What specifically have you done / changed
Well done what a great result!
Absolutely fantastic - well done , keep going ! ( you can tell I’m a teacher lol)
Well done and keep it up. I am one who has kept my blood pressure under control with lifestyle changes, the health benefits are wonderful, that's what will keep you motivated.
What an excellent achievement! I would think the weight loss will taper off, but don't be discouraged. .. you don't land a plane in a nose dive! Keep up the good work. 😀
That's awesome Cheltenhamguy - you should be REALLY proud of what you've achieved! You must be working at it really hard. 👍👍
I completely changed my lifestyle I don't drink I don't eat takeaways anymore I did 3 a week at one point maybe more I havnt smoked for over a year and half I'm exercising 30 mins a day in the evening that's all I need I've a long way to go my target is 13st

Many thanks
That's brilliant Cheltenhamguy - you're doing so well - congratulations!
Wonderful-well done! This level of loss won't continue of course, so you may well reach a plateau and stop losing, but don't give up, your system will have got used to the new routine, that's all. Stick with it, and if you can maintain a 1-2 lb loss a week, that will be perfect! Good luck!
Oh I absolutely intend to I will br posting weekly updates so stay tuned
That's great news. I'm a Chelt guy too! I wish I'd monitored my progress when I started sorting myself out. It took me a steady couple of years with similar lifestyle change to yours and I dropped from 18st to 10st. You're going to feel so much better as you go on. Your target is not far away. 😊
Well done but don't lose too much too quickly.
Well done. Keep it up. But I suggest you limit yourself to about 1 kg a week weight loss. 👍
