Hello to everyone in the community. I’ve had constant chest pain for the last 2 months. This chest pain is continuous and it normally is in the center or on the left side of the chest. At times I also feel it on the right side. It’s not very painful but it’s never leaves and at times it gets a little stronger. I get very scared!!!! I have ASD Ostium Secundum (Heart Condition) and I’m currently in the process of having a procedure done to close it. In the mean time my Cardiologist says this pain is not heart related. I’ve done all kinds of blood work and that has come back normal. Everyone in my family believes it’s all anxiety related but I think it’s something else. I’m taking pills for anxiety etc. and nothing has changed. Has anyone experienced something like this? If so what was it? how did it go away? Please help! I’m really scared! Thank you.

That must be tough to be continuously experiencing chest pain. It’s interesting it changes to the right sometimes. I’ve had stomach issues recently and i had a heart attack diagnosed after I went to A&E with the pains. I’m being investigated for the pain at the moment. I’m concerned too that it could be heart related. I’ve talked to my cardiac rehab team and they said if the pain gets worse go to A&E. I know that if I relax the pain seems to lessen. I did have a stomach issue that was caused by stress years ago. I self diagnosed that. It went away after I de stressed. The thing with stress, we don’t often realise we are under stress and can be physically unwell because of it. Have you a councillor that could help you with your concern? Even chatting to a friend when your feeling anxious can help. If your physician says it’s nit heart related then that’s important to help you calm. I’m a born worrier , so I sympathise!
I sympathise with you as I also get pain of about 5 in my upper left chest near my sternum.I often think it is my aorta valve because it is located there.
My pain goes away if I chew on a half a diazepam.
