An elderly gentleman, call Hubert, lived up north in Newcastle. One day he phoned his son, Stephen, who lived in London. "Me and mother are getting a divorce son" he said. Stephen replied "You can't do that dad! You have been married for 45 years!" "But I can son - 45 years of utter misery is he enough for anyone!". He then put the phone down. Stephen immediately rang his sister, Nadine, in Oxford. "We can't let this happen" she said "I'll make an early start and meet you at the Starbucks down from the house at midday" . Meanwhile back in Newcastle Hubert turned to his wife, Martha, winked and said ”Well that's the kids up for Easter! We will have to think of another ruse for next time"

”Well that's the kids up for Easter! We will have to think of another ruse for next time.... perhaps a quick visit to A&E with chest pains"
