Well just thought I’d drop by and say happy 2nd anniversary to me. STEMI with sudden cardiac arrest x2 and luckily only 1 stent, called Bruce, fitted on 27 June 2020.
Since my blip I’ve started hiking, completed the great Birmingham 10k, travelled to places I’ve always wanted to go, and generally living life to the fullest.
Here’s to many more years and to everyone that is in the same fortune position as me, cheers 🥂
Have a great day everyone

Well done and happy anniversary Slimdaz. An inspiration to hear how you've moved on, just read your bio, you sound in a completely different place to 2 years ago . Seems Bruce is doing his job well!
I'm 19 weeks post STEMI, just a couple more stents (7) perhaps I should call them the 7 sisters, as I've always loved Norway. I'm embracing rehab and taking life as I find it.
Sorry to quote a but... " begin each day as if it were on purpose" , kinda keeps me on track.
We have the Seven Sisters in the Mourne Mountains in Country Down here in Northern Ireland too Cruiser. It's a stunningly beautiful place to visit but when it's on your doorstep you tend to forget! I've also always wanted to visit Norway - maybe I'll get there one of these days....🤞 I'll be 19 weeks post triple by-pass this Friday - feeling grand and very much embracing my new routine every day.
I must admit I've never made it over to NI, bit ashamed to say I've only ever been to Dublin in the republic of, once I couldn't agree more about beautiful countryside being on your doorstep, guess were looking with changed eyes now though. I was moved to tears this last visit to Norway in May, I'd been to the same place before, but I am different now. I'd encourage everyone to 'go for it', with whatever or wherever they want to do/go, if they're able to.
Brilliant news you're feeling so well after your bypass, health and happiness.
I agree Cruiser - I definitely seem to see things differently now. I was in hospital for 5 weeks pre-op and remember one day it was raining and sticking my hand out below the window, which only opened a crack, just to feel it. The atmosphere in hospital was so static (for want of a better word), and we weren't allowed out! I swore that once I got out of there I'd never complain about being caught out in the rain again - I love it now. I've wanted to go to Bergen since I was a child (a long time ago!) to visit Edvard Grieg's grave. Pictures of the area look stunning - I'll get there someday! Many more years of health and happiness to you too.
Happy anniversary!!! That's positive and inspiring, a huge well done to you, tha ks for posting this
