In the morning, I am fine, but during the day, my right ankle swells up. Any comments?

Hello :-)

I had the same problem it is worth speaking to your Doctor about it I did

As my heart has been checked out recently they were not worried it was that causing it and explained as long as it goes down overnight that is a good sign

They also told me to elevated it during the day as well as wear the surgical stockings which you can buy or your Doctor can prescribe when it is bad

I would speak with your Doctor , get piece of mind and take their advice which could be similar to what they told me what to do to help this :-)

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Thanks. I did actually see the practice nurse yesterday for routine blood tests, and she said exactly that.

Give it a go and hope it helps :-) x

I am putting my feet up as I type. Anything to get out of doing the washing up!😊

Now then why did I not think of that :-D

Thank you for the tip I feel I shall be getting out of doing the washing up to now :-) x

The kidneys work at a certain blood pressure & heart rate. If you take beta blockers then, by definition, the kidneys cannot perform as well as they should so. Odema (fluid swelling) usually happens in the lower limbs & a diuretic is perhaps something you need?

I am on a diuretic, but the furosemide was stopped when I changed another med. Feet up it is.

Yes I would agree with be kind , put your feet up whenever you can and don't stand for too long I get it with my left ankle and it can be quite painful especially if the weather is not. Have been wearing elastic stockings for 3 years and find I need different types/brands at different times of the year. Good luck

I'll try the elastic stockings, but my feet seem to be further away than they used to be, so it might be a struggle! Thanks for the good wishes.
