Well yesterday I was in the CIU and had an Angiogram followed by an Intervention The plan to start was to increase the size of the Stents in my Bypassed LAD but it appears they are a lot more patent than the Stress MRI showed ( paten is fancy word for flowing ) So a discussion took place between a couple of Cardiologist outcome was my Native LAD was stented even though it had been Bypassed and had a couple of small stents in it. It was felt that by doing this Blood Fow to the Heart Muscle would be enhanced so who was I to object lol. Entry for the stenting was through my Left Hand/Wrist just about 1 1/2 " above the base of my Thumb Last time was Right wrist palm facing upwards. When I asked why they had changed wrists I was told we know just where we are going and Left side will be easier as you have a graft there and your RCA is now 100% dead. This seen clearly on the MRI and previous Angiogram so Left is Best !! It now appears my RCA is beyond any redemption no matter the Risk involved so at least that is now out of the way.
Just a couple of points on the ECG prior to starting the procedure . It says Sinus Rhythm with premature Ventricular Complexes, PR Interval 166ms, QRS duration 122ms, QT/QTc-Baz418/418ms, P-R-T axes 24 46 -18 Not sure what that means so anyone who could enlighten me I would appreciate it .
Final Notes on ECG say Can not rule out Inferior Infarct, age undetermined, well it was 1982 40 years ago. It also says Abnormal ECG. LOL
I think the thing that surprised me most was the opening of an already Bypassed Artery but hey ho if it helps lets go for it. I could Hug my Cardiologist.
I will tell you why in my next thread Rehabilitation
Regards,
Sorry for the long winded thread thought it adds to all our Journeys.
