LBBB and Normal Heart
Cardiologist tells me that come to see me next five years. Is it properly to wait for five years to see my cardiologist?
Hello, it is true LBBB is not reversible and it is an indication of ischemic heart disease and is got be followed up closely so that you do not end up having serious problems. Sinus rhythm means normal heart in terms of rate and rhythm and is compatible with LBBB. Do you have any other symptoms like angina or sustained a mini stroke or a syncope? You are lucky you are monitored. I had LBBB, was not followed up and within few years developed complete heart block and had permanent pace maker which could have been avoided. Let's hear from you.
I had LBBB when I was on Flecainide plus Sertraline. Together they increased the duration of the P wave, QRS complex and QT.
I stopped both and all returned to normal values. No more LBBB either.
