Apaxiban Nose Bleeds

Hello can anybody please advise I have two months ago been put on Apaziban for AF. I have over the last few days had a virus infection with runny nose but today getting really bad nose bleeds which I think is due to all the blowing. They do eventually stop but quite frightening. Any advise has anyone had this experience is it normal. Thank you

Hi. I took the cold over the winter and it always lingers in my sinus. I had some really horrific nose bleeds for a few weeks! Longest lastest 90 mins at which point my friend was ready to pack me off to a+e lol Thankfully i recently stopped ticagralor after my year anniversary from heart attack so hopefully wnt be gettimg those bleeds this winter again! The dr did give me a cream which soothed tbe inside of my nose which did help. I cant remember the name of it though🤔Good luck x

Thank you so much for your experience and advise. Mine has eventually stopped but arrived in the night which was frightening but feel calmer now I know what to expect.

I got the same from edoxiban. Still do very occasionally. I put it down to blowing my nose too hard as I do tend to suffer with blocked nose. Much more scary is when they have occurred in the night and I wake up to another ruined pillow

Thank you very much as it does help when someone has had the same experience. Things always feel worse in the night. Bleeding has stopped now so I am feeling calmer. Thanks
