I never even knew there were such things as I thought it was done via a blood test, I will be interested in this too.
Monitor My Health is an NHS Lab in Exeter. I use them for additional thyroid testing, but have just ordered my 1st test to include cholesterol. Results are usually available online within 48hrs. MMH do a fairly basic cholesterol test for £24. Other accredited labs I know of are Medichecks, Blue Horizon & Thriva (as outoftheblue mentioned).
I try and order when I have a blood test due, and ask the lovely ladies in the path lab to fill the test tube for me, which they don't mind doing at all.
NB. Test early in the week, as you don't want the sample sitting in a sorting office over the weekend.
Just an update. Did my online research and as mentioned by Outoftheblues, Thriva seems to be more accurate because of the breakdown of good and bad cholesterol given.Check the following website for a comparison

Thank you all
