Acid reflux?

Hi, just wondered if anyone has the same issues, had my heart attack back in September 21 and been on the usual cocktail of meds ever since and get terrible back and chest pain which my doc put down to acid reflux as it's mainly after eating, had the camera down but they said everything's OK and could possibly be caused by my meds and just doubled up on my Lansoprazole which so far is doing zero to help, just wondered if anyone else was having the same experience.

Could Lansoprazole be causing the problem?

Thank's Chooch, I'll have a word with my doctor but they seam convinced it's the heart meds

I personally would ask the Dr to change the Lansoprazole for another similar drug, at lest you can then rule that out.

Hi I have gastritis and terrible bother with acid reflux I take lanzoprazole 30mg twice a day and my cardiologist also added famotidine 20mg at night after I started on that the acid reflux disappeared and the heart burn is minimal . I hope your doctor can find a solution it's an awful thing to have take care char

Thank's Thanksnhs, I was on famotodine too for a while but when that didn't seam to help my doctor took me off it and just kept me on lansoprazole, I know it doesn't help the pain any but it is less of a worry knowing it's not just me that's having this reaction , they did talk about surgery after I had my endoscopy even though they said everything was OK which I found a bit strange so I'm hoping I don't have to go down that route.
