My Cardiologist is suggesting I now take the above 50mg twice a day. I have a history of Atrial tachycardia. I have also had one Ablation procedure to correct an Atrial Flutter. I am reluctant to take tablets because of side affects. Has anyone else been on this and what has been your experience. Thanks

Flecainide

A lot of people with Afib or flutter take Flecainide. For me it was a miracle drug and the only one that really helped. Most (including me) take 1x 100mg twice daily alongside a small dose of beta blocker. So your dose would be half of that. Your cardiologist knows what he's doing, trust him.

Thank you. I read it can make you feel dizzy. I get dizzy already from another complaint I have. Did you get that?
Hi, I take 150mg twice a day, it sounds a lot but the analogy my consultant used was ' could I get drink on 1 pint of beer'.It works perfectly well with no side efects.
Everyone reacts differently to this medication but in my case it did the opposite to what it was supposed to do and sent my heart rate soaring.I ended up inCCU but fortunately I was already in the clinic being checked for any reaction after 4 days taking it. I think I was probably in the minority.
Hi, I have taken 100mg x 2 daily for 47 years with no side effects. I try to manage lifestyle issues which may trigger an episode and it is rare to go into afib. Give it a go! Best Wishes!😀👍
I get heart palpitations and been given bisoprolol for it. Does that help? I don’t have a high heart rate
