Ramipril for bp

Hi has anyone been prescribed 2.5mg of ramipril for blood pressure and have taken one Tablet and felt like they had more chest pain symptoms after taking it about 12 hours later ?

A lot of people have problems with Ramapril. I should just go back to your doctor and get put on something else. Brian

Hi i was on Ramapril for a couple of years and all was fine but suddenly my face and lips swelled. After investigation they found it had started working against me so i had to stop taking it as they said i was allergic now to it. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ no idea why tho .

I worked up from a very low dode, 2x1.25mg a day I think, up to my present dose of 2x5mg a day. Ramipril is a great drug, I havent had any side effects. Don't give up immediately, take half in the morning and half at night. Good luck

I only took one ramipril, I get indigestion/acud reflux any way but that made it 100 times worse. That was before I had AF, when diagnosed they again wanted me to take it but when I explained prescribed Perindopril instead. So far no problems with that.
