New symptoms - help!

Hi, I have previous history of ectopics and suspected SVT. However, over the past few months when I feel a flutter of hard palpitation I am getting an uncomfortable chest feeling and pins and needles in my left arm. This only really happens in bed and is waking me up.

Any ideas what this could be?

I do have a cardiology appointment next week so will mention it!

Hello :-)

I am not a Doctor but the only thing I am wondering especially with the pins and needles is it the way you are laying in bed ?

Glad you have that appointment next week as like you say you can ask and get peace of mind

Let us know how you get on :-) x

Thanks for your reply - yeah I did wonder about position. I just hope it’s not linked to any heart issues. I will update on here this week 😁

Hello :-)

I wake up with pins and needles and I know it is trapped nerves with me as well as when I lean on my arm it happens again though it is the way I lean on my arm

But it is good you will be able to ask in a few days and I know it is not easy but try not to overthink it and will be interesting to see what they say :-) x

I Often get tingling arm and fingers in bed but I know it's a trapped nerve in my shoulder. You should still check at your appointment.

To relieve pins and needles from this trapped nerve, sit up straight, pull your shoulder back (the one that's tingling) and tip your head away and slightly back. You want to open out or flatten the area below your collarbone by your shoulder joint. I discovered the trick from a video on Instagram and it works very nicely for me.

Just a quick update - the cardiologist wants me to have another 14 day monitor to try and capture the episodes again. They can see PACs and runs of them but haven’t managed to catch the longer ones yet.

They think the pins and needles could be anxiety related but are being cautious so I’m pleased.

Echo and ECG came back all clear!
