If you've got a blood pressure monitor I would suggest checking your pressure....high blood pressure can lead to blood shot eyes.

I can’t see if you are on anti platelet or anticoagulant of any sort if so this will cause it. I had it when on prasergrel .. it will go in a few days. Always best to show doc tho

I had one exactly like yours a few years ago - first time ever and it was unnerving. Went away after a few days. If your vision is fine I wouldn't worry.

Can you ask for an optician appointment to get it checked out? That's what I would do. I've had optic bleed due to meds. Worth checking out!

My husband had that a couple of months ago. GP and optician said to just ignore it and it vanished. Why not phone your optician and email that photo to them? Here's my husband's. Horrible and no he has no heart problems.

I used to get bloodshot eyes from reading too much without proper glasses (this was before I knew I needed reading glasses). I used to call it "tomato eye".

I had a similar blood spot when I was in my 20s it went away by itself I did check with my GP. I've also been told that if you have floaters they're there all the time you just don't notice them, perhaps you can see them when you're tired? I have one which I call Fred! We're good friends now 😊x
