Cardiologist going to start me on bisoprolol and booked me for ct angio. Shes not once told me what she suspects. If I indeed have angina. I dont know if I do as pain more in armpits and back and ribs tho odd pain in chest and not agony just there. Annoying. Worse when lie on back.im exhausted and fed up and scared .my ecg goes like this after it calms down from slight exertion. Anyone know what's going on with me.

I suspect your cardiologist does not want to make a guess in case she is wrong. The angiogram should give her a better idea.I would suggest trying to keep a brief record of where and when you have these various problems. That might help towards a diagnosis. Does a little exercise help at all, ie a gentle stroll?

Just worrying can make many symptoms worse, but I realise, from my own experience, that "stop worrying!" is fairly useless advice.

Thanks for reply. I guess you're right. It must be frustrating for her to try and reach a diagnosis also. Any exercise seems to push heart rate up. Can be 60 or 70 and mibbe load washing machine and it can get to 150 160 sore palpitations and bit breathless. Way over the top for what I'm doing. But also was sat on couch watching tv and went up 180 no reason and fainted where I sat. Tho I def think any kind of tiny stress can trigger.

My unstable angina is rarely apparent in my chest. Usually in centre back up to and including jaw. Occasionally in stomach as well! I agree that she is probably waiting to give you a definitive diagnosis.

Thankyou. Anything I read says central chest pain. Does it get worse for you at night or lying down.

I have permanent AF and was prescribed an anticoagulant Apixaban. A year or so later I was prescribed Bisoprolol because I often felt dizzy and faint and did pass out a couple of times. The Bisoprolol was prescribed to slow my heart. It has worked in that I haven’t experienced the dizziness/ fainting since. I feel very tired some days . I’m 79, walk with ramblers about three times a week and generally feel fairly good. My advice is to wait for the results of all your tests and you may then have a clearer idea of what is wrong. Try to practice some deep breathing exercises, they can really calm you when you’re feeling worried. Take care and I hope you get some answers soon. By the way it did take a while to get used to the Bisoprolol - probably a couple of months.
