Hi sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I'm so confused, by chance i found out my blood pressure was very high so spoke to my doctor and was sent for bloods, ecg and ultra sound over 4 months my records are showing i have (these are in order of how I've been diagnosed with them)Sept: Essential hypertension, Oct: Left ventricular hypertrophy, Nov: Mitral valve and Aortic valve regurgitation and Dec: Hypertensive heart disease I've been put on Ramipril I'm up to 7.5mg so far they are not bringing my blood pressure down. I go back in 2 weeks for another review. Could i really have all these issues or are they replacing the one before them if that makes sense 🤔 like i said sorry if this sounds like a stupid question. Many Thanks.
Do i have all these?: Hi sorry if this... - British Heart Fou...
Do i have all these?
Hello
All you can do is ask when you go back in two weeks... They can clear any confusion up for you.
Take care.
Hi Redhead75, welcome to the forum. I agree, you need to ask that question with your doctor.
I have no medical training, just personal experience. I had been diagnosed with hypertension a few years ago, on losartan, then they discovered I had mitral valve regurgitation, for which I have recently had a repair op. I am now off losartan, and it seems to me that my blood pressure problem was largely due to the valve issue, as my heart was working harder to keep things moving. Please don't take this as a diagnosis, it just might apply to you, something to keep in mind?
All the best.
Dear Redhead75
More and more posts are appearing that contain words from worried patients not understanding their diagnosis.
This must be so worrying for you and your loved ones, but there is an answer……..
Contact your heart team /cardiologist office and get someone to call you back to explain your ailments.
Also your GP [ yes I know ] should have all your records back from the hospital.
Does your hospital have a patients app that you can see your documents on along with your appointments and repeat prescriptions service?
I hope you get your answers soon but that won’t happen until you ask the right people the questions.
Take care you are in my thoughts
Our doctors has a patient access where we can see all that you have mentioned, i think thats why its so worrying they add it to this but dont explain to the patient (well in my case anyway) Thank you
