Hi,3 was ago my gp said to stop aspirin for a while because I was getting indigestion in my chest, since stopping the pain in my chest has gone, but now he has prescribed clopidogrel but that's not good for my hiatus hernia and will probably have to increase my rabeprazole again, any help please.

Hello :-)

Sometimes these meds can have positives and negatives and you feel you cannot win

One will cause one thing and another will cause something else

Did you take anything like Lanzopral to protect your stomach when you were taking Aspirin ?

I think you have to weigh up which either side effect you can cope with better or how it will affect your other conditions if you go on another med

I hope you get this sorted sometimes it can be trying these things out till we get the right thing to suite us :-) x

Yeah I take rabeprazole 20mg in the morning then isosorbide mononitrate and then 10mgs atorvastatin at 10.30 am,I will try clopidogrel in the morning after breakfast, I used to take aspirin at night with rabeprazole but still struggled,I have had hiatus hernia for years and coped, but since starting heart meds its got worse, can't win.
