Daughter (21) diagnosed with myocarditis last week as result of meds taken for mental health illness. My question is medical staff delayed acting upon her abnormal blood results for 48 hours . Could this delay have caused this ? 😞

Myocarditis diagnosed
Sorry I don't have any medical knowledge re this and certainly wouldn't want to speculate on something so serious.Personally I believe you will need to ask someone who is medically trained to give you a true answer.
Dear KLW1309
So sorry you have such a worry over your daughters health, both mentally and now physically.
I can only back up Heather1957 reply, how can we answer such a question which means so much to you both?
I hope you do find your answers and that your daughter can get the help she needs to speed her recovery.
We are here for you and will do our best to support you, but as you can imagine no one here can say who lies in fault with your daughters treatment.
A lot of folks on here have suffered delays in receiving their treatments that has effected them to one degree or another.
Take care and please keep us informed.
Thank you. She’s still in hospital for closer observation as they try a new medication to help with her MI condition. They have opened an investigation to delay in treatment..
So sorry to hear that your daughter is still in hospital and all the anguish that must cause you.
Pleased for you that at last they are looking into why there was a delay in her treatment.
You are both in my thoughts
I had a heart attack 8yrs ago and was told it was triggered by migraine meds. I was diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome. There are now lots of meds I have been told to avoid some of them MH meds. I had the chest pain etc on the Saturday and never went to GP until the Monday, troponin levels stay up for I think 6 days. What advice did they give your daughter regarding future MH meds?
Thank you. Still looking for answers in regards to the delay in treatment but moving forward they’re trying a new medication and monitoring closely. They’re keeping her in hospital for closer observation and due to get another echocardiogram soon.
