I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism since triple bypass. I did not have this issue before. Has anyone else had this happen?

Hello
I suffer with this before and after my Bypass operation I now have it what feels like a 100 times worse and it is now driving me mad and taking over my every thought every day
If you suffered before or after it is an awful thing to deal with so I feel for you
But you have been through a very big thing , a life changing thing and I think even if you have never suffered before it is not surprising some may find themselves suffering after
I am sure as time goes on and because it has been diagnosed quickly , with help and support things will get better
Try and accept why this is happening , try to tell yourself it is ok , when you feel yourself starting to worry tell yourself that there is no wonder I am after what I have been through but this is in my head rather than actually reality
I know how debilitating this can be and even feels painful not physically but mentally
Keep talking and let how you feel out , therapy would really help if it is available where you are
You are not alone feeling this way if that helps x
Dear Kali-heart
Hello to you, I have the same problem but mine is caused {most likely} by the drug Amiodarone. Are you taking this?
Hopefully others will answer your post with other explanations, just thought I’d let you know.
I was told in my case that it is quite common .
Please don’t worry as there is help for that condition however it was got.
Take care.
My husband has had diagnosed hypothyroidism for decades , but has no symptoms at all; so it is possible you had it before your bypass. Perhaps your new meds. are now causing you to be symptomatic.
