Morning everyone,
I am still waiting for my by-pass. I had my pre op appointment at the beginning of October. I am 'pencilled' in for the first week in December but I was also 'pencilled' in for last week too!
All this time sitting around makes me overthink I know but I was just wondering about future non life threatening operations and whether doctors are less inclined to put you forward with a history of heart disease.
I only ask because if I had been asked last year what operation I would most likely have in my old age, I would have said probably a new knee. My heart wouldn't have been in the top 5. This got me thinking though that in future should I require any surgery are they a bit less reluctant to do knees, hips etc? Or do they check your heart status thoroughly first?
As I said, too much thinking time at the moment!
