Hi all!! 6 months ago purely by accident they found a Myxoma a small one in right chamber of my heart which is benign. Prior to this a was having heart palpitations and am still under investigation. Consultant says the tumour isn’t causing the dizziness and palpitation. Anyone there who has been diagnosed with a heart tumour?

Hello! Yes, I was diagnosed with a left atrial myxoma in May this year! Mine was very large though - 8cm and was removed under open heart surgery. They also repaired my mitral valve. I am a 30 year old female and I was also 20 weeks pregnant at the time! X
Thank you for your response truly. I really hope your ok now. Can I ask did you have symptoms at all beforehand?
Recovering well, thank you 😀 I literally woke up with a pain in my chest/back one morning and felt breathless with it. The GP sent me to hospital with a suspected blood clot. Within 24 hours it had been diagnosed. A massive shock as I’d had no indication of a problem before that.
That must have been just awful for you. Glad to hear your doing well now. They acted very quickly. My tumour was found purely by accident after dizzy spells. Cardiologist says this episode had nothing to do with tumour. So undertaking further tests. It’s just the thought of this foreign body in my heart. Sure you understand what I’m saying. Anyway stay safe and well x
