What's next after Perindopril no longer sufficient?

I am new here and have had Heart Failure and Atrial Fibrillation for a long time but it was only diagnosed about 4 years ago.

My heart pressure recently went up to around 160/100 from 120/90 even after my perindopril was increased from 2mg to 8mg and I am wondering what the next step will be?

Hi Andy

I'm sorry to hear that your BP has skyrocketed. I've been on perindopril for a while now, to help control my BP.

Since my heart attack (4 years ago), I am also on beta blockers (bisoprolol).

I think you should ask your GP to refer you to a cardiologist, so that she/he can decide how best to treat your BP.

Wishing you all the best.

Ash
