Of course, EF is just one measure of overall cardiovascular health, but I wanted to give a bit of good news: I suffered cardiac arrest and a later heart attack at the end of April (had previous LAD stents, so not my first rodeo). My EF was measured just after the 2 incidents in April at around 40 percent. I just had a stress echo and a ultrasound with contrast, and my EF was measured at 57% and 63% respectively. So, my heart seems to be largely intact!
Now, of course, my issues lie in my arteries, and that's a separate book to be written. But with cardiac rehab and meds (biso, atorvastatin etc) my heart seems to have recovered.

In my case, it was a LOT of luck as an off-duty firefighter saved my life with CPR...my cardiologist congratulated me and said "good work." I said, no, it was your team and medications that have brought me back to this point...
Well done. Great news especially after cardiac arrest and HA! Hope it all continues to go well
That is Wonderful !! Do you take Entresto ? Did you change your diet/lifestyle, and do you take any supplements such as COEnzymeQ10 ? Joined this forum to learn and for support, so I can help my husband with HF and an E-fraction of 31 or 32.
Hi there, no, just the standard cocktail of post-HA meds: Bisoprolol, baby aspirin, statins, rampiril, ticagrelor. My diet was fine before the HA (bad genes), and I was in good shape. But after the events, I started from point zero in terms of cardiovascular fitness so went through rehab.
