Well, the diagnosis I have feared has come along... Severe sleep apnea.
Just for information.. You do not need to notify the dvla or your insurance unless the diagnosis includes 'excessive daytime sleepiness'.
Still disappointed, but at least its not a life changing diagnosis.
Instead of being disappointed in your diagnosis there's a case to be made that you should be delighted! Let me explain.
There's a well established link between sleep apnea and heart disease. So there's a good chance that this diagnosis is also pointing you towards a cause of the heart problem that brought you to this forum in the first place. And the really good news is that sleep apnea is treatable, whether that's via weight loss or CPAP devices or other interventions.
In other words, by treating your sleep apnea you'll also be significantly reducing your risk of heart problems. Two for the price of one, sounds good to me!
I can understand your thoughts and to a point agree
MY son had apnoea too now cured after he lost a lot of weight but it's still taken him over a year to get a provisional licence. They kept wanting more andmore information and finally a doctor's letter.
