Like many on here I am constantly tired and without energy. I dont sleep well and always need a "kip" at some point in the day.
Its been suggested that I may have Sleep Apnea and this is why I dont sleep well and have the constant tiredness.
Certainly, I do snore and I am overweight. I am waiting to see someone in the Sleep Clinic but I have been on the list for 2 years now and now tye clinic is closed due to CV19.
Go and look in the mirror. There you will see the person who can fix you. No more naps. Overweight ? Get a plan started and start to balance you exercise and food intake . How many year have got left. How do you propose to spend them?
So easy to say. But it gets to a point where l feel tired and no energy too whether it’s the meds that l have to take for my heart conditions not sure. But it’s a vicious circle . Even when l have got my weight down the body won’t work enough to be able to keep it down So l have sympathy for Oglivie.
An apology is in order. I was a too blunt, it's a long slow process that is not easy. I made the mistake of watching Trump advocating injecting bleach and got annoyed.
Do you wear a Fitbit? If not get one. They aren’t that useful except in recording your sleep. They will show you your sleep pattern- how long, waking moments, rem etc. It will also show your heart rhythm and point out peaks where sleep apnoea may be occurring.
I am often convinced I have had no sleep or very little and am shocked to see a good 6 or 7 hours recorded. In that case I know that my tiredness is caused from something else. It usually is because I have done so little during the day that my body/ mind has become tired. Not so weird really as sitting about does not increase oxygen flow and your heart, lungs etc will be in rest mode, promoting a general feeling of lethargy. Can I suggest you try introducing a little more activity into your day, you may find it makes a difference. Hope this helps a little.
This may sound a little odd, but bear with me. I have always kept very fit, but in my mid forties I found I had sleep apnea. I actually had no idea myself, it was my wife who discovered it, and understandably panicked about it. When I did some research I found that my breathing pattern had become incorrect. It’s a bit hard to explain, but basically I was breathing in, when I should have been breathing out. If you have a look on YouTube for belly breathing techniques it may just help. It feels strange when you first try it, but it certainly helped me. Good luck.
