Friends and Family - what are your thoughts?

Me again! Still looking for people to contribute a haiku (or any short creative response) on the topic of our heart conditions and Friends & Family. I'd be surprised if anybody with a heart condition (or without one!) didn't have some opinion on the difference, good or bad, friends and family have made to your experience. Maybe someone really stepped up to the mark and supported you in the most practical of ways or maybe someone unexpected turned out to be the best emotional support. Perhaps someone close to you has a habit of always saying the wrong thing or refusing to understand your situation. Have you made new friends because of your heart condition? Or you could be more of a lone wolf who likes to handle things on your own. Do you put on a brave face around some people and have a good cry/moan with others? Whatever you experiences and opinions on the topic of Friends & Family, I would LOVE to hear about it. I feel like this is such an important topic and I would hate for all the varied viewpoints not to end up being represented in the zine.

You can see what others (including myself and a few familiar faces from this forum) have written, and maybe contribute something of your own, by visiting this post and scrolling down to the comments - heartytalescouk.wordpress.c...

Come on, Hearties, Laura doesn't want to fill the 'zine with just my haikus! I could write some more, but I'm sure some of you could contribute on the subject of Family & Friends. If you can't write a haiku (rules in the blog) you could do a limerick or other short poem :)

Fairly certain you and DaveTR are going to end up famous off the back of this haiku project, Alison - will have to give you both your own dedicated edition at this rate! 😂
